On Monday Sept 5, we had the first salon for looking at socially valuable initiatives that don't fit into the current thinking.
Just a few stalwart souls gathered to meet each other and listen to Jonathan Trent, Ph.D NASA scientist who has been working on Fuels and Tools for a Sustainable Future.

NASA, Google and the California Energy Commission have financed the research to an initial pilot.

So now, we are the support team for Jonathan's visit to Singapore this month.

In the larger context, during our discussion, we found that not everything fits into a "market" driven model, and not everything we need to survive into the far future, finds natural routes to funding.

in the end, it comes down to articulate, determined, perseverance by individuals - joining together to see something worthwhile off the ground.

Has it not been always so?

I'm driven to remind myself that innovation's true breeding ground lies in the minds and hearts of human beings. Stick-with-it ness is essential!

Keep up the good work Jonathan for the future, and Cliff for keeping us interested in the global weather.
